Bio Balance Quality & Testing: The Full Transparency Report
Most supplement brands say "independently tested" without showing what that actually means. Here is the real data: our TGA listing number, our manufacturing site, our actual lab results, and our stability testing — so you can verify every claim yourself.
Our TGA listing
Bio Balance Joint Pain Relief is registered on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods as AUST L 441814, listed 21 February 2024, with active status. You can look this up yourself on the TGA's public register at tga.gov.au using the ARTG number. Being TGA Listed means the product has met the Therapeutic Goods Administration's requirements for safety, quality, and permitted health claims for listed medicines.
Where Bio Balance is actually manufactured
Bio Balance is manufactured by Australian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Pty Ltd (APM, a division of PACT Group) at 789 Springvale Road, Keysborough, Victoria — under PIC/S Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, the internationally recognised standard for pharmaceutical and therapeutic goods manufacturing. This isn't an imported product with a local label; the capsules are formulated, filled, and packaged at this Australian facility.
Independent laboratory testing
Every batch is tested by independent, accredited laboratories listed on our official TGA manufacturer record:
- ALS (Australian Laboratory Services), Rydalmere NSW and Scoresby VIC — chemical, physical, and microbial testing
- Scientest Analytical Services, Ormeau QLD — chemical and physical testing
- Southern Cross Analytical Research Laboratory, Lismore NSW (based at Southern Cross University) — chemical and physical testing
Real batch test results (not just specification limits)
Here's an actual Certificate of Analysis result from a recent production batch (manufactured June 2026, expiry June 2028):
| Test | Specification Limit | Actual Result |
|---|---|---|
| Curcuminoids per capsule | 128.25–178.13mg | 142.84 mg — Complies |
| Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) | 40.50–67.50mg | 61.39mg — Complies |
| Arsenic | Not more than 2.0 ppm | <0.05 ppm |
| Cadmium | Not more than 1.0 ppm | <0.05 ppm |
| Lead | Not more than 5.0 ppm | <0.05 ppm |
| Mercury | Not more than 0.2 ppm | <0.05 ppm |
| Disintegration time | Not more than 30 minutes | 5 minutes |
| Microbial (E. coli, Salmonella, Staph aureus) | Not detected | Not detected — Complies |
The heavy metal results are the standout here: every measured value came back more than 100 times below the maximum allowable limit for lead, and similarly far below limits for arsenic, cadmium, and mercury.
Proof it stays potent over time (stability testing)
A real-time stability study conducted with ALS tracked Bio Balance capsules stored at 25°C and 60% relative humidity — standard long-term storage conditions — over 12 months. The result: total curcuminoids measured at 142.84mg per capsule after 12 months, essentially unchanged from the 142.5mg label claim. Heavy metals, microbial safety, and disintegration all remained fully within specification. This data supports Bio Balance's 24-month shelf life.
Where the organic turmeric comes from
Bio Balance's turmeric extract is sourced from Vidya Herbs Pvt Ltd in Bangalore, India, whose Turmeric Extract 95%+ is certified organic under the USDA National Organic Program, certificate number 8556P, issued by NASAA Certified Organic — the same Australian organic certification body that certifies many local organic food and supplement brands.
The complete formula, as registered with the TGA

- Piper nigrum (black pepper) fruit extract, 54:1 concentration — 0.7407mg, equivalent to 40mg raw black pepper
- Zingiber officinale (ginger) rhizome extract, 20:1 concentration, CO2-extracted — 50mg, equivalent to 1,000mg raw ginger
- Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) — 45mg

Why this level of transparency matters
Anyone can put "independently tested" on a label. Very few Australian supplement brands publish their actual ARTG number, manufacturer address, or batch-level lab results for public scrutiny. We do, because a health product making joint pain relief claims should be able to show its work.
